What Is a DMCA Takedown Notice?

How to File a DMCA Takedown Notice
To submit a legally sufficient notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3), include all of the following elements:

Identification of Work: A description of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed (or a representative list if multiple works are involved).
Location of Infringement: The exact URL(s) or specific page locations on Linkforgeit.com where the disputed content appears.
Good-Faith Statement: A statement affirming: "I have a good-faith belief that the use of the material described in this notice is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."

Notice Processing & Remediation
Upon receipt of a valid, actionable takedown notice:
We review the submission for statutory completeness.
We remove or disable public access to the infringing material promptly.
We notify the affected account holder or content uploader, providing them with a copy of the takedown notice so they may file a counter-notice if the removal was unjustified or erroneous.
How to File a DMCA Counter-Notice
If your material was removed or restricted because of a notice, and you believe the claim is an error, misidentification, or fair use, you may submit a counter-notice under 17 U.S.C. § 512(g)(3).
Your counter-notice must contain:
Your Information: Your full legal name, physical address, telephone number, and email address.
Removed Material Description: Identification of the specific material that was removed or disabled, including its original URL prior to removal.
Perjury Statement: A statement affirming: "I declare, under penalty of perjury, that I have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification of the material to be removed or disabled."
Jurisdiction & Service Consent: A statement confirming: "I consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which my address is located (or if outside the United States, the federal judicial district where Link Forge IT may be found), and I will accept service of process from the claimant who submitted the original takedown notice."

Notice on False Claims: Submitting fraudulent or bad-faith takedown notices or counter-notices may result in statutory damages and legal liabilities under Section 512(f) of the DMCA. If you are uncertain about ownership or rights, consult legal counsel beforehand.
